JET SKI Rules & Regulations



*CHECK IN NO LATER THAN 30 MIN BEFORE TOUR DEPARTURE TIME



MANDATORY:

  • MUST BRING Valid Government Issued Photo I.D. driver and passenger
  • MUST BRING Credit Card per reservation
  • Minimum age to operate the Jet Ski by yourself is 18 years.
  • GUESTS BORN IN OR AFTER JAN 1st, 1988 MUST HAVE A BOATERS SAFETY CERTIFICATE TO OPERATE THE JET SKI. Please obtain your Boaters Safety License online by visiting www.boat-ed.com. You Must present your certificate or show your email proof at check in. (No photo copies accepted). A temporary Boater Safety License can be obtained at check-in by taking a 25 multiple choice question test in English. There is a fee of $3.00 to take the test per rider (cash or credit card accepted). Guests must check-in 1 hour before departure time to obtain a temporary Boater Safety License. If you fail to pass the Boaters Safety test at the check in location you will be charged in full amount for the ski('s) held for you.
  • If someone born in 1987 or earlier is on the jet ski, a Boater Safety Certificate is not required.
  • Guests must have a basic understanding of the English Language
  • ALL MINORS 17 YEARS OF AGE AND YOUNGER MUST have their parent present at the time of check in to complete waivers. No substitute guardianship will be accepted. Parent must also show Valid Government Issued Photo I.D.
  • No alcohol can be consumed prior to jet skiing (passengers and drivers)
  • Please note that a safety lanyard (key) is attached to the Jet Ski driver at all times
  • Two guests are allowed per Jet Ski and cannot exceed a total combined weight of 450 lbs (225 kg)
  • A brief orientation will be given to all renters before tour departure time.
  • Renter is responsible for any loss or damage to the jet skis.

AGE REGULATIONS:

  • Guests 4-9 years of age may only accompany as a passenger to someone who is at least 18 years of age. A parent must be present at check-in to sign waivers. They are not allowed under any circumstance to operate the Jet Ski
  • Guests 10-17 years of age may operate a Jet Ski as long as a passenger accompanies them who is at least 18 years of age and meets above criteria (parent must also be present to sign waivers and show Valid Government Issued Photo I.D.)
  • Guests 18 years of age and older may operate a Jet Ski by themself. MUST Show Valid Government Issued Photo I.D., Credit Card for security reasons and a Boater Safety License. Florida Law requires anyone born after Jan 1st, 1988 MUST HAVE A BOATER SAFETY CERTIFICATE TO OPERATE THE JET SKI.

GUESTS CANNOT PARTICIPATE IF THEY:

  • Under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Are pregnant
  • Have any existing medical conditions that put them or others at risk
  • Are 4 years of age and younger
  • Are over 18 years of age and do not have a Valid Government Issued Photo I.D. and credit card
  • Operator of Jet Ski does not have a basic understanding of the English Language
